Isn't that a Miss Kitty guitar hanging up behind Jean!? *LOL* I love the way she still looks at her fingers - as if she is still learning to play! Now, I wonder, whatever happened to June's patchwork crocheted waistcoat circa the Special Care video? The Three Jays must have had a fantastic time at the Jean & June Weekend! :-)

Sorry that I'm not writing much anymore. As I evaluate my own feelings I find that even as a 54 years young man, that I still have a sort of crush on June. It's a very strange feeling. I certrainly am still infatuated by her. I've got some money and some Guitar Strings that I'm sending to IMA.
As for Jean looking at her fingers, she doesn't have to. She has always been quite an accomplished bassist. I play guitar for more than 40 years and when I look at my fingers it's only something to look at rather than playing with my eyes closed. I do that quite often anyway. Both June and Jean are the most underated/unknown players that I've had the pleasure to know, and I know a lot of players.
I teach guitar and something that you can not teach is feel. The sound that June and Jean produce comes from their fingers. The notes that they choose to play are pretty good choices but the sound comes from their fingers. Some great guitarists like Eric Clapton and Eddiie Van Halen have both said this too.
Oh well, it's nice to be back.
